For her fifth full length solo album, she set out for this legendary birthplace of the blues, soul and rock & roll. Teaming up with renowned Memphis producer Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell and recording the album at the iconic Royal Studios.
They were joined by the great Hi Rhythm Section, as well as Marcus Finnie and David Guy on several tracks.
Royal Studios was founded by Mitchell's grandfather, bandleader, producer and arrangerWillie Mitchell, who also co-founded Hi Records.
Throughout his long career as a producer, musician, songwriter and audio engineer, Boo Mitchell has worked with a phenomenal list of artists including Al Green, Anne Peebles, Buddy Guy, Keith Richards, John Mayer, The Neville Brothers, Robert Plant, U2, Melissa Etheridge, North Mississippi Allstars and many more. In 2016, he won the Record of the Year GRAMMY AWARD for his work on theMark Ronson/Bruno Mars hit “Uptown Funk”

extremely easy decision to work with Boo after meeting him by chance in Nashville two
years ago. When he told me that the Hi Rhythm Section were also willing to do the record I
was even more excited. Recording with these musicians who were responsible for so much
of the music that I’ve grown up with and absolutely love, was such an honor and an
incredible experience.
